About Us

Since 1981, Rivington Associates Inc., and more recently, our spin-off company, Rivington Associates Commercial Division Inc. have provided commercial real estate appraisal services to financial institutions, mortgage brokers, lawyers, municipalities, government bodies and private individuals throughout Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec.

The service area of Rivington Associates Commercial Division Inc. comprises most of Eastern Ontario from Algonquin Park in the north, south to the St. Lawrence River, and east to the Quebec border not including the urban portions of the cities of Ottawa and Kingston. The experience and areas of specialization of our staff reflects the wide variety of commercial properties requiring appraisal in Eastern Ontario.

With an extensive database of sales and property data, plus access to the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) data, as well as the Province’s Land Registry information on Teranet and GeoWarehouse, area real estate boards, and on-line sales data, services have broadened since inception.

In addition to real estate appraisals, the services that we provide include real estate consulting, building valuations for insurance or fire damage, reserve fund planning for condominium corporations and public housing, market lease rate studies, as well as feasibility and Highest and Best Use studies.
