You’re Invited to a Labour Market Community Consultation led by the Labour Market Group of Renfrew and Lanark Counties.
The labour market is changing rapidly, with new trends that have evolved since we spoke last year. Canada's unemployment rate is gradually increasing, particularly among young people, yet there continue to be widespread labour shortages in certain sectors, such as healthcare.
Although inflation has slowed, the cost of living remains high for housing and food, resulting in more labour disruptions as collective bargaining focuses on addressing the rising cost of living.
Join the Renfrew-Lanark Labour Market Working Group for one of four community consultations as we tackle the challenging question of how rural areas can address their workforce needs now and in the future.
