Position Overview
The Perth and District Chamber of Commerce is seeking an experienced and proactive Executive Director to lead the organization during a maternity leave period. You will oversee daily operations, support key programs and events, foster member engagement, and maintain strong community partnerships — all within a supportive environment guided by an active Board.

Key Responsibilities
Program & Event Management
- Collaborate with Board committees to plan and execute Chamber events and programs.
- Support volunteer committees to help achieve event revenue goals.
- Develop marketing and communication plans for events and membership activities.
- Create networking and professional development opportunities for members.
Membership Growth & Retention
- Set and reach membership targets.
- Analyze member feedback and non-renewal reasons to improve services.
- Develop incentives to attract and retain members.
Community Relations & Partnerships
- Act as a spokesperson and maintain the Chamber’s public profile.
- Build and sustain relationships with local organizations, government, and regional Chambers.
- Lead sponsorship development and stewardship.
Financial Oversight
- Partner with Treasurer and Bookkeeper to manage budgets and financial reporting.
- Monitor financial performance and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
Human Resources & Office Management
- Supervise and coordinate staff and volunteers.
- Facilitate staff training, performance reviews, and recruitment.
- Maintain an efficient and positive office environment.
Communication & Marketing
- Oversee Chamber’s websites, social media, newsletters, and media outreach.
- Develop marketing campaigns aligned with Chamber branding.
- Track key performance metrics for digital and event communications.
Board Support & Governance
- Attend all Board meetings and support strategic planning.
- Update policies and participate in provincial Chamber networks.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership and management experience, ideally in non-profit or business organizations.
· Post-secondary degree in Business or marketing related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and foster teamwork.
- Experience with event planning, membership engagement, and financial oversight is a plus.
- Familiarity with Chamber of Commerce operations or small business support organizations is an asset.
